The Design

St. Joan of Arc is a patron saint of France and soldiers. As a girl she received visions from God and was instructed by the Archangel Michael to deliver France from the English.

To do this she dressed as a man and fearlessly led France to battle. After many successful military skirmishes she as eventually imprisoned and put to death as a witch and for cross dressing.

Shortly after the war, her trial was reopened Pope Callixtus III and her crimes were appealed. She was canonized in 1920. 

This design features St. Joan of Arc riding into battle on a horse with a drawn sword and golden rays about her. On the right sleeve is a quote she was famous for saying during her trials:

"I was born for this."
